1/13 -- Arson, Saint Francis High School

Sometime between Jan. 8 and Jan. 13, unknown suspects bent open a roof hatch of the press box at the Saint Francis High School track and attempted to set it on fire by tossing in some burning papers. The papers burnt out on their own and caused no damage.
1/19 -- Burglary, 569 E. Evelyn Ave.

Unknown suspects broke into Pure Foods sometime between Jan. 17 and the morning of Jan. 19 by cutting through several locks and other security devices. They stole cash and a variety of plant growing equipment including heat lamps, charcoal filters, fans, generators and a pump. Also stolen was a 2004 white Hino truck which was recovered by the Watsonville Police Department later in the day, but the other stolen property was not found.
