Open house for St. Joseph school

St. Joseph Catholic School will hold its open house Jan. 25 from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Classroom observation days will be held Jan. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Jan. 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The school is located at 1120 Miramonte Ave. in Mountain View. MV kindergarten info nights

The Mountain View-Whisman School District will hold information nights for parents of new kindergarten students for the 2004-2005 school year.

A district information presentation will be held Jan. 27 at Landels Elementary and Jan. 29 at Theuerkauf. Both start at 6:30 p.m.

Site presentation nights will be held at each of the district's nine elementary and middle school campuses, starting Feb. 3.

Evening open house events will all start at 6:30 p.m. Bubb's will be held on Feb. 11; Castro on Feb. 12 or Feb. 5 and Feb. 23 for parents interested in the dual immersion program; Huff on Feb. 3; Landels on Feb. 10; Monta Loma on Feb. 3, and Feb. 12 and 24 for those interested in the school's parent participation program, Community Enhanced Learning or CEL; Slater on Feb. 5 or Feb. 10 for those interested in the school's parent participation program, Parent, Child, Teach or PACT; and Theuerkauf on Feb. 4.

Daytime open houses will also be held at each of the campuses. Bubb's will be on Feb. 9 and 11 at 8:30 a.m.; Castro on Feb. 24 and 26 at 8:30 a.m.; Huff on Feb. 11 and March 10 at 8:30 a.m.; Landels on Feb. 24 at 9 a.m.; Monta Loma on Feb. 10 at 8:30 a.m.; Slater on Feb. 5 at 8:30 a.m.; Slater's PACT program on Jan. 27 and Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. and Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m.; and Theuerkauf on Feb. 11 and 25 at 8:30 a.m.

LA kindergarten info nights

The Los Altos School District will hold kindergarten information nights on Feb. 10 and Feb 12 at Almond School, located at 550 Almond Ave. in Los Altos. The meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school's multipurpose room. To be eligible for the 2004-2005 kindergarten program, children must be 5-years-old on or before Dec. 2, 2004 and reside within the boundaries of the Los Altos School District. Pre-registration will begin Feb. 26 at 7 a.m. For more information, call 947-1155.
