Teens can work at polls
(February 13, 2004)The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters is seeking high school seniors who are at least 16, U.S. citizens, and have a grade point average of at least 2.5 to be poll workers during the March 2 election.
Students must get permission from their parents and from their schools. They will earn a stipend of $95 to $130, more if they have bilingual skills or recruit other poll workers.
