Community Brief

The city of Mountain View is accepting applications for the 26th Annual Spring Parade, to be held rain or shine at noon Saturday, April 24.

The theme is "Pirates on Parade" and the event's colors will be black, white and gold. The half-mile parade will start on Castro Street at Villa Street and end at city hall. Following the parade, there will be food, games and entertainment at Pioneer Park until 3 p.m.

Parade entry forms can be picked up at the Community Center at 201 South Rengstorff Ave. or at the Senior Center at 266 Escuela Ave. For more information or to have an application mailed or faxed, call John Marchant at 903-6442 or e-mail him at john.marchant@ci.mtnview.ca.us.
