IEI offers Italian language evening courses for adults, after-school courses for children, and adult courses (in English) on various aspects of Italian culture, such as film, food, travel, etc. This Spring's offerings include: Italian Language 1, 2, 3, Conversational Italian, and a minicourse (in English) on five Italian Regions (Cinqueterre, Umbria, Chianti, Campania, I Laghi), with a tasting of food and wine specialty for each region. The classes are held to a maximum of 12 students, and are led by fully qualified professionals. Open House is on Sunday, April 4, noon-4 p.m., in the office and classrooms at the Russell International Center, Menlo College, 1000 El Camino Real, Atherton.

Village Heartbeat (VHB) is an organization dedicated to building and educating a drumming and rhythmic community. This organization facilitates classes in adapted traditional African drum and dance, and Ta Ke Ti Na, a musical group process. VHB also promotes and organizes trainings and workshops for musical artists and teachers who can enhance and inspire the community. Rhythm has the ability to bring us into the joy of community in a new and different way.
