The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority will begin to set its priorities for the next 20-plus years at a meeting at Mountain View City Hall next week.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and comment on the transit authority's plans at its forum on Monday, March 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in council chambers at 500 Castro St.

The transportation plan, titled VTP 2030, is updated every three years to reflect current transportation plans and investment goals in response to changing public needs. Transit projects have been ranked in three levels, with the BART expansion to San Jose at the top of tier one.
