And on March 31, Los Altos English teacher Susana Herrera will read and discuss her book, "Mango Elephants in the Sun: How Life in an African Village Let Me Be in My Skin."
The high school's slam poetry competition will be held April 1 and is $3 at the door.
All evening events will be held at 7 p.m. in Los Altos High's Eagle Theatre, 201 Almond Ave.
