(April 02, 2004) Oversight board for Measure J
After Measure J won at the polls, Mountain View-Whisman Superintendent Jim Negri said he is now working to establish an independent committee to oversee how the money from the $1.6 million tax will be spent.
Measure J funds are earmarked for keeping class sizes small, libraries fully staffed and programs such as art, music and after-school sports running. For more information on the independent oversight committee, call Negri at 526-3552.
