Robbery -- Alvin St./Thompson Ave., 4/27

Three males ages 17, 18 and 19 approached a male, intending to steal his bike. The first three then threatened the victim with bodily harm. A witness called police, and the suspects fled.

The police found the suspects at a nearby apartment complex. All three suspects had changed clothes in an attempt to disguise themselves. The victim, however, was able to identify them. The suspects were then taken into custody and arrested.

Vandalism/intoxicated in public -- Wal-Mart, 4/29

At 11:14 p.m., police received a call about an argument at a bus stop near Wal-Mart. When police arrived at the scene, they found one man being a public nuisance and two other men arguing while intoxicated. One of the men arguing jumped on a nearby tree limb. The tree limb broke off the tree, which is the property of Wal-Mart.

The store decided to press vandalism charges.The man who jumped on the tree limb was not hurt but was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness and vandalism. The man he was arguing with was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness. The third man was not detained.
