Youth benefit breakfast

The Champions for Youth Benefit, a 2004 Challenge Team Champion for Youth Presentation, will be held May 13 at Michael's Restaurant at Shoreline. The breakfast will start at 7 a.m. and costs $40 a person. Jim Summers, a comedian and former prison guard, will give the keynote address.

The Challenge Team is a community-based nonprofit that brings students, school districts, police departments, community organizations, parent groups and health service groups together to prevent alcohol, tobacco and other drug-related problems in the community.

Those interested in attending should RSVP to Mary Moore at mary.moore@mvla.net. Checks should be made payable to Challenge Team/CHAC.
