Commercial Burglary -- 500 Block Castro St., 5/16

A police officer walking down Castro Street at 1:20 a.m. spotted a girl acting nervous near a vending cart. The girl began running as the officer approached.

She stopped running voluntarily, and the officer noticed three clothing items in her possession that appeared to come from the cart. The girl, 15, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of burglary.

Robbery suspect at large -- E. El Camino Real, 5/14

At 5:17 a.m. a man entered a Union 76 gas station and waved a semi-automatic handgun at a store clerk. The man punched the clerk in the face and took the cash register.

The suspect drove away in a green SUV and is still at large. Police described him as a black male 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180 pounds, wearing a green jacket and driving a green SUV.

Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds -- Mountain View High School, 5/13

An officer and a police canine were patrolling near Mountain View High School at 12:30 a.m. when two males shooting pellet guns at each other on school grounds were spotted.

The guns were full-scale models of traditional guns. One of the suspects tried to run away as the officer called out to him but the canine chased him down.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a pellet gun on school grounds, and the man who fled was also charged with resisting arrest.
