Holiday train schedule

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority announced its schedule for Memorial Day, May 31. The Dumbarton Express and the ACE Train/Shuttles will not be running. The Great America Shuttle will follow its regular schedule, while VTA buses and light rail, Highway 17 Express and Caltrain are providing services according to a holiday schedule. CSMA president feted

Community School of Music and Arts Board President Bob Reay was awarded the Individual Business Leadership award at the Silicon Valley Arts and Business Awards on May 7.

The proceeds from the fundraising event, sponsored by Arts Council Silicon Valley, benefit the PARTNERS grants program of the Arts Council, which supports more than 130 arts and cultural organizations throughout Santa Clara County annually.

Lieber honored

Assembly member and former Mountain View mayor Sally Lieber recently received the 2003 Coastal Steward Award in recognition of her commitment to coastal and ocean resources. The award is designated by Vote the Coast, a statewide non-partisan environmental organization.

California Secretary of Resources Mike Christman presented the award to Lieber, who serves on the Committe on Natural Resrouces and the Budget Sub-Committee on Natural Resources, on May 18.
