(June 18, 2004) Residential Burglary -- 1900 block Latham St., 6/9
At 11:15 a.m., a witness reported seeing a Hispanic male through a window in an apartment complex and exit the front door minutes later with a blue vacuum cleaner. The witness reported that the suspect was 5 feet 4 inches with a shaved head and was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
A suspect matching a similar description had been seen earlier that day at 11 a.m. on the 2000 block of California Street. The suspect had entered a residence through a bathroom window and then opened a bedroom door where he found the resident. The suspect then quickly shut the door and fled the building. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170 pounds, with a shaved head and wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
Stolen Vehicle -- 900 block W. El Camino Real, 6/10
At 1:40 p.m., police officers noticed a suspicious person loitering by a parked 1996 Honda Accord. The officers ran a check on the car's registration and found that it had been reported stolen. The loiterer then got into the car, prompting the officers to move in and arrest him. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle.
