(July 23, 2004) Caltrain parking lots overflowing
With the continued popularity of the baby bullet trains, Caltrain is trying to find ways to deal with parking crunches at its stations. When the parking lot at the Mountain View station is full, Caltrain is directing people to park at the VTA Evelyn Light Rail park-and-ride lot on Evelyn Avenue at Pioneer Way and walk or take Light Rail to the station.
Caltrain wants passengers to avoid hunting for a space and instead take the bus or light rail, set up a carpool through 511.org, or ride their bikes to the station. For more information about the free bike shelter at the Mountain View station, call the city's transportation division at 903-6228.
