One-alarm fire tears through home
(August 06, 2004) The Mountain View Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting smoke at 773 Lola Lane at 1:48 p.m. on Monday. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found flames coming from a window. After a quick search of the house, they discovered the occupants were not at home.
Firefighters then began suppressing the one-alarm blaze and had completely extinguished the flames by 2:15 p.m.
Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire. The blaze caused fire and smoke damage to the bedrooms, a hallway and the attic. The destruction is estimated at $150,000.
