PRO-AM RENG-JAM Saturday, Sept. 11 from 4-7 p.m. Located in the Mountain View Skate Park at Rengstorff Park. Skate workshops led by professional and amateur skaters, live music, free food, teen resource booth along with a memorial service. Call 903-6618.
TEEN CENTER 298 Escuela Ave. Open Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m. The Mountain View Teen Center offers free activities such as crafts, table games (pool and foosball), cooking, and dancing which are supervised by recreation staff. It is open to City of Mountain View middle school students only. Call the Teen Center Hotline at 903-6417.
TEEN OPEN GYM Shoot some hoops on Saturday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (except holiday weekends) at the Whisman Sports Center, 1500 Middlefield Road. Teen Open Gym Is open to middle and high school students and is free. Call 903-6417.
MOUNTAIN VIEW SKATE PARK Open daily from 6 a.m. until one half hour after sunset. Kids 12 and under only on weekends from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Bikes and scooters are prohibited.
SOCCER TRYOUTS Three to four competitive players are wanted for the MV-LA Maniacs 94G (Girls U10). It is a year-round CSYA class 3 team. Tryouts are being held this fall. Contact Joey Bassi for tryout info at 966-1632.
