Attempted Residential Burglary -- 1900 Colony St., 9/1

At approximately 4 a.m., a female heard a noise in her first-floor apartment. She went to the living room to investigate and saw a person's foot trying to enter the room through the open window. When she turned on the light, the person fled.

Later that day, at approximately 9:36 p.m., the same woman heard a noise and went into the living room and saw two shadows on the living room window. When she turned on the lights, the two fled.

The police are unable to locate involved persons and do not yet know if the cases are linked. The police are still investigating the attempted burglaries and are asking residents to keep their windows and doors locked despite the summer heat.
