Reception for school supes

A reception for outgoing Mountain View-Whisman Superintendent Jim Negri and incoming Superintendent Eleanor Yick will be held Sept. 29. The event, co-sponsored by AOL and Synopsys, will be held at AOL's Moz Café at 468 Ellis St. from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Negri resigned from Mountain View-Whisman last month to take a job with a high school district in Contra Costa County. The Mountain View-Whisman school board appointed Yick as the new superintendent. She was given a 10-month contract.

Career Night at Foothill

Foothill College will hold a Career Program Preview Night on Oct. 7 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the library quad. The campus is located at 12345 El Monte Road in Los Altos Hills. Admission is free.

The event includes an information fair, career program presentations and on-site financial aid consultations.
