Auction planned for Healing Arts Program

A silent and live art auction will be held Sept. 26 as a benefit for El Camino Hospital's Healing Arts Program. The event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Adobe Creek Lodge on Moody Road in Los Altos Hills. The public is invited to attend.

The Healing Arts Program, started by Dr. Josh Sickel in 1997, is a program dedicated to making patients smile and includes closed-circuit humor and relaxation television channels, a volunteer jester, musicians and art classes.

Artists and collectors have donated original paintings, sculptures, lithographs, photographs, jewelry, ceramics, hand-made clothes and other crafts to the benefit auction.

The art auction costs $50 a person. For more information, call Lindsay Greensweig at 988-7849.

High marks for hospital

In addition to receiving three stars, the most possible, in the Overall Dimensions of Care category, El Camino Hospital also received three stars for coordination of care, physical comfort, likelihood of recommending hospital and rating of care.
