Assault with a Deadly Weapon -- Highway 85 and Highway 101, 9/26

At approximately 6:41 a.m., a woman was driving a vehicle on Highway 85. As she slowed down and approached Highway 101, a male almost rear-ended her with his vehicle.

As he maneuvered his car around her, he drove along the side of the victim's vehicle and tried to crash into it, causing her to veer off to the side. As the suspect pulled in front of her, he braked three times trying to have the victim crash into his car.

The victim called the police on her cell phone, and the suspect was later arrested.

Vandalism -- Alta Vista High School, 9/27

As a police officer observed a male juvenile arguing with another student at about 8:57 a.m., the officer attempted to get the juvenile's attention. Soon after, the boy punched a glass window causing lacerations on himself.

When the officer first attempted to detain the suspect but he resisted and continued to make threats. He was taken into custody and arrested for making threats, resisting arrest and vandalism.
