Armed Robbery -- Country Inn, 850 Leong Drive, 10/24

A man approached the hotel's front desk at about 10:12 p.m. and displayed a handgun, demanding cash. After the money was given, the suspect fled the motel. No one was injured.

The police did an extensive search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect. He was described as a black male, mid-thirties, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, and was wearing a black beanie and a green jacket.

Concealed Firearms -- 600 block Sylvan Ave., 10/24

An outdoor fight that involved about eight people was reported around 2:31 a.m. When the police arrived, the suspects began to flee. Police were able to detain four suspects and arrested a 20-year-old male who was carrying a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
