(November 05, 2004) Attempted Strong-arm Robbery -- Wal-mart, 10/30
At approximately 7:40 a.m., an elderly woman was intimidated and threatened by a man and woman to give up her purse in the parking lot. As the woman screamed for help, a few people in the parking lot started walking toward her. The suspects entered a waiting Chevy Tahoe driven by another male.
As the car exited the parking lot, a good Samaritan citizen provided police information on the vehicle. The car and suspects were later located by police at a laundromat at San Antonio Road and Miller Avenue. The female suspect was found inside the laundromat, and the driver was located in the vehicle. The third suspect fled prior to the arrival of the police.
The two suspects were arrested and booked for attempted strong-arm robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
