Obituary

A memorial service for Charles A. Tyson will be held Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. in Menlo Park at SRI International, I Building, 333 Ravenswood Ave. Tyson, a Mountain View resident, died Oct. 24. He was 72.

Tyson is survived by his wife Noriko; daughters Elaina Hill of Hartsville, Tenn. and Corle Tyson of Oakland; granddaughter Drew Hill; and cousins Alma Agopian and Delia Kurzet of Downey, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Thomas Tyson and Estelle Johnson Scholarship Fund for Minority Students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Checks should be made payable to WPI Development Office and sent to WPI, c/o Jean Westerlind, 100 Institute Road, Worcester, MA 01609-2280.
