@cophead:Stolen vehicle -- 200 block Castro St., 12/7
At 6:47 a.m., police arrived at the Shoreline Boulevard-Central Expressway interchange where they found a blue 1992 Plymouth Sundance that had flipped over and rolled down an embankment. Nobody was inside the vehicle.
The car was identified as having been stolen from Sunnyvale the previous day. Approximately an hour and a half later, a police officer walking on Castro Street noticed two young men who were both covered in dirt and foliage. One had a scrape on his head.
After being questioned, 19-year-old Robert Rodriguez and 19-year-old Jose Velasquez were arrested on charges of auto theft and hit-and-run.
@cophead:Escapee found -- Pacific Inn, 12/11
On Dec.7, Randy Taylor, 31, a suspect who had escaped while being transported within the Palo Alto courthouse, was found again.
Police had received an anonymous tip that Taylor was at the Pacific Inn on 1984 W. El Camino Real. When police arrived on the scene on Dec. 11, they did not locate Taylor in his room but found him waiting for them outside the hotel.
Taylor was re-arrested and is at the main jail in San Jose.
