Weather protects residential burglar
(January 07, 2005) Heavy rains and a dark sky provided the perfect cover for a burglary suspect in Mountain View on Sunday, police spokesperson Joanne Pasternack said.
The burglary occurred sometime around noon at a home in the 500 block of View Street.
The suspect entered the home through a window that was possibly unlatched, making off with a video camera, hat, and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Pasternack said a neighbor heard a dog barking and subsequently spotted someone walking away from an area near the home, but the witness could not get a good look at the person due to the weather.
