Assault with a deadly weapon -- Pacific Inn, 1984 W. El Camino Real, 1/23

A 39-year-old man was in line at the breakfast bar of the Pacific Inn at 8:18 a.m. when he was bumped into by another man. An argument ensued between the two, with the 16-year-old son of the second man joining in.

The argument turned into a physical altercation. The second man picked up a crock pot and hit the first man in the face with it. The victim was taken to the hospital. The suspect was booked for assault with a deadly weapon. The juvenile was cited for battery and was released.

Two 17-year-old males walked into a Safeway at 9:33 p.m. and began putting bottles of Jack Daniels liquor in their clothing. They were observed by store personnel.

When the boys attempted to leave, they were confronted by store employees. A fight ensued between one of the juveniles and a store employee.

The juvenile who got into the physical altercation was charged with attempted robbery. The other suspect was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime.
