These recommendations were released by Superintendent Eleanor Yick on Tuesday. They will be discussed by the school board on Jan. 27 and voted on by trustees Feb. 3. The neighborhood students at Slater, depending on their home addresses, would be assigned to Theuerkauf, Landels and possibly Huff Schools. * Relocate the alternative PACT program at Slater to Castro School. Slater neighborhood students enrolled in the Parent-Child-Teacher (PACT) program who wish to continue would be educated at Castro. * Restructure Castro School as an intensive English Language Academy for Pre-School through Grade 2 students. The neighborhood students in Grades 3-5 at Castro, depending on their home addresses, would be reassigned to Bubb, Huff and Monta Loma Schools or could choose to participate in the K-5 PACT program. * Relocate the Dual Immersion Program to Landels School. Castro neighborhood students enrolled in Dual Immersion who wish to continue would be educated at Landels. * Reassign some Theuerkauf students, depending on home addresses, to Monta Loma School.
