Farmers' market award
Gail Hayden was awarded the farmers' market manager of the year award at the North American Farmers' Direct Marketing Association conference. The annual conference was on Feb. 11 in Boston, Mass.
Hayden and her husband Doug Hayden, who is the president of the company, oversee 12 certified farmers' markets in the San Francisco Bay Area including the one in Mountain View. The markets gross more than $10 million annually for local family farms, which sell only fruits and vegetables they grow themselves.
