Don Frances, who has worked at numerous Bay Area publications over the last 10 years, has been named managing editor of the Voice.

Frances has worked on the copy and news desks of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Examiner, and ANG Newspapers, a Bay Area newspaper chain which serves North Peninsula communities.

Voice Publisher Tom Gibboney said, "We're very happy to welcome Don to Mountain View and to our newsroom. He has an excellent track record and is looking forward to becoming part of the community."

Frances and his wife Jennifer, who grew up in Los Altos, live in San Carlos and have a daughter, Stella.
