Assault with deadly weapon, 2000 block Latham St., 5/22

Police responded to a report about 7 p.m. people at an apartment complex were intoxicated and fighting with rocks and bottles. When police arrived the suspects had left. The victim, a 27-year-old Hispanic male, had suffered superficial cuts on his face from a metal belt buckle. Gaspar Rojas Bravo, a 26-year-old male, is wanted in connection with the case.

Battery, 1120 Miramonte Ave., 5/21

While attending the International Festival at St. Joseph School two adult males started fighting with each other. When the reserve officers on duty tried to break up the fight, members of the crowd became involved and out-numbered the police. The officers then used pepper spray to control the crowd. No one was injured and no charges were filed.
