Police Log

One of the men accused of robbing an office supply store at gunpoint early Tuesday morning did not get far.

Police arrested Jose Vides, 21, in front of Petco at 1919 W. El Camino, around the corner from Office Depot, the site of the Tuesday robbery. Police say Vides and another man broke into the store around 3 a.m. and tied up two of the three store employees on duty. A former employee of the store, Vides faces four counts of armed robbery and three counts of kidnapping.

He was arrested at 10 a.m. The other suspect is still at large.
