Dirk van Erp

Dirk van Erp, a prominent architect who served on the Mountain View Planning Commission for nearly a decade, died at his Mountain View home on Aug. 4. He was 75.

Van Erp received a master of arts in architecture from Stanford University, and went on to practice with various distinguished firms in San Francisco, Seoul and Chicago.

He served on the Mountain View Planning Commission from 1963-71, and was also a member of the World Trade Club. He enjoyed gardening, gatherings of friends and colleagues and weekly games of dominoes.

Van Erp is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marianna van Erp, four daughters and 11 grandchildren. No memorial service is planned.
