Crime Watch Crime Watch (September 02, 2005)

Assault with a deadly weapon, 1800 block of Ednamary Way, 8/27

As a 25-year-old man was arriving home in his Buick around midnight, two vehicles pulled up next to him. Several people emerged from the vehicles, including one man carrying a bat. The bat-wielding man struck the victim, inflicting several injuries. Before the suspects fled the scene, they vandalized the victim's car by smashing the windshield and other windows. Police say the incident may have been gang-related, and there is no significant description of the suspects.

Prowling, 400 block of Chesley Avenue, 8/23

A female resident looked over her fence to see the face of an unrecognizable man staring back at her. She immediately called police, but the prowling man had fled from her neighbor's yard before they arrived. Although police conducted an extensive search of the area, they were unable to find the prowler. He is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s with short hair and a light complexion.
