Robbery at El Paisano Market, 9/5
Dressed in dark sweatshirts with hoods and bandanas concealing their faces, three men entered El Paisano Market at 889 Leong Dr. on Labor Day. Two of them brandished handguns as they demanded not only cash from the register but the wallets of the store employees. The men then fled and have not been located. No one was hurt in the incident.
Vandalism at St. Francis High School, 9/1
On the morning of Sept. 2, St. Francis High School staff arrived on campus to find that three of their school buses had been vandalized. The buses were spray painted with possibly gang-related graffiti. The most ravaged of the three vehicles also had both front windows smashed out and fire extinguisher powder on the seats. No suspects were found.
