Reception Friday for CSMA's latest exhibit
The Community School of Music and Arts will showcase the work of three faculty members -- Bryn Pennington, Lori Coan and Hua Zhang -- in a sometimes startling, sometimes cheerful and altogether engaging fall exhibit. The artists will be on hand for a reception Friday, Oct. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pennington's mysterious mixed-media canvases and installation pieces, Coan's feminine ceramics and Zhang's chaotic, black-and- white lithographs all employ different styles and techniques, while questioning and reframing common forms and provoking open-ended interpretations of the work.
The exhibit, which opened Oct. 4, will remain at CSMA's Mohr Gallery through Nov. 28, and is intended for all ages.
CSMA is located at 230 San Antonio Circle in Mountain View. Mohr Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit www.arts4all.org or call (650) 917-6800.
