Crime Watch

At 9:28 p.m., a person wearing an all-black ski mask entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets. Once his demands were met, he fled and was not located. The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-5, of medium build.

Auto Burglary arrest at 300 block of Carmelita Drive, 10/02

A resident reported hearing noises at 5:06 a.m. outside his apartment and, upon investigating, saw a young man inside a car who did not seem to belong there. The young man, later described as a 17-year-old, fled on a bicycle, but was soon located and arrested.
