Man injured in California Street fire
One man was transported to a local hospital Saturday for treatment of smoke inhalation from a two-alarm fire in an apartment building at 1940 California St., Mountain View Fire Department spokesman Lynn Brown said.
The Oct. 22 fire started around 3:15 p.m. in a unit on the second floor of a two-story, 20-unit apartment building. It was contained just after the second alarm was called, which was around 3:30 p.m.
Four adults and one child were displaced by the fire, Brown said. The American Red Cross is assisting in providing shelter for them.
Apartments next to the one where the fire started suffered smoke and water damage.
