Battery, 1965 Charleston Road, 10/21
Construction workers broke up a fight between two catering coach operators Friday morning after one attacked the other near Google headquarters.
According to police, Cathy Bui, a 43-year-old San Jose woman, confront her 30-year-old victim after pulling up to find her already selling food from what Bui believed was her area. Bui began closing the panels to the victim's coach and grabbing and scratching the victim.
Construction workers waiting to buy food separated the two, and Bui drove away. Police arrested her on charges of misdemeanor battery on a citizen's arrest.
Armed robbery, 2535 California St., 10/23
A man who stole an undisclosed amount of alcohol from Albertson's at knifepoint Sunday afternoon was apprehended after fleeing on a bicycle. A security guard from the grocery store flagged down a police officer that happened to be driving by, and pointed him in the direction of the suspect, 38-year-old Edward McDuffie of Palo Alto.
Police arrested McDuffie without incident on Fayette Drive moments later, with the evidence stashed nearby.
