Sexual Assault, 100 block Evandale Avenue, 11/20

At around 7 p.m., a female teenager was walking alone when she was confronted and assaulted by a man who then fled on foot. The man is described as Hispanic, in his 30s, 5-foot-6 with a thin build, short dark hair and a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tennis shoes and a dark baseball cap. The man also made a few verbal comments to the victim in Spanish. Police ask that anyone with any knowledge of the incident contact Detective Jessica Serb at (650) 903-6344.

Criminal Residential Burglary, 1500 block West Dana Street, 11/26

A female resident of an apartment complex returned home to find a strange man walking out of her bedroom. The man then fled the apartment, got in a car and drove away as the woman chased him on foot. The woman also managed to write down a license plate number, leading to the arrest of Thomas Warda at his Palo Alto home.
