(December 16, 2005) Assault with a deadly weapon, 600 block Escuela Avenue, 12/12
As a car was traveling down Escuela Avenue at around 10 a.m., two young men standing on the sidewalk picked up pieces of concrete and began throwing them at the car. One of the pieces broke the window on the passenger's side and hit the driver. The suspects then fled n foot and were not immediately located. They were described as a Hispanic male and a white male, both in their teens or early 20s, wearing black and blue colored clothing. DUI arrest, Lawrence Expressway, 12/11
At around 8 p.m., police observed a car traveling on Highway 101 at high speed with its hazard lights on. When instructed to pull over, the driver did not stop and continued on at a fast clip until finally taking the Lawrence Expressway exit, where he lost control of the vehicle. The car then overturned, and the driver got out and tried to flee on foot, but was arrested at the scene. The driver, a 38-year-old male, was booked on charges of driving under the influence and resisting arrest.
