(December 23, 2005) Time to register for Foothill classes
The deadline is approaching to register for classes at Foothill College. The registration process must be complete before the first day of winter quarter on Jan. 9. School officials expect popular general education courses and career training classes to fill up quickly, so early registration is a must.
Foothill College has extended the online and phone registration through Jan. 7, and students may add a class during the first week of the quarter, though by that time many will already be full. Online registration may be completed at www.foothill.edu. For phone registration, call (650) 917-0509 or (408) 777-9394.

Breakfast for Girls' Middle School
The Girls' Middle School will host an inaugural scholarship breakfast with the theme "Women Shaping the Future: Giving back and Moving Forward," to ensure that approximately 25 per cent of eligible students each year benefit from financial aid. The event will be held on Jan. 12 from 8 to 9:45 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Cabaņa at 4590 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. Tickets range from $500 to $3,000 for a table for eight guests.
The program features keynote speaker Robin Jeffries, an engineer at Google and co-founder of Systers, a network for women in computing. The morning will also include an award ceremony to honor advocates for girls.
