Lancer girls soccer squad undefeated

The St. Francis' girls soccer team had another solid week, continuing their undefeated run in league play after defeating Valley Christian 2-1 on Thursday, then playing to a 2-2 draw against Notre Dame on Saturday. Coach Dawn Hill will need to keep her team focused this upcoming week when the Lancers play Presentation and St. Ignatius, both of whom own a plus-.500 record this year.

Eagles girls also dominate

The Eagles varsity soccer team continues to mow down everyone in its path. The girls team wrapped up another dominating week by shutting out Santa Clara 2-0 and Cupertino 7-0. Over Los Altos' last 5 games, the Eagles have outscored their opponents by a 24-0 margin. The team will play three times this week -- against Wilcox, Lynbrook and Fremont in Sunnyvale.

LA boys basketball breaks losing streak

The Eagles boys' basketball won its only game of the week against Lynbrook on Wednesday evening 50-45. The win broke a 6-game losing streak. Los Altos will look to win two games in a row for the first time all season on Wednesday when it plays Santa Clara.

MV hoops hopes to right ship

The boys basketball team has struggled since league play started earlier in the month. Last Wednesday, the Spartans lost their only game of the week 57-42 to Palo Alto. At 0-3, the Spartans will look to get their first win on Friday night when they host Milpitas.

Lady Spartans look to stay near top

The Mountain View girls' basketball team currently sits in second place, only a half-game behind Fremont in Sunnyvale. The Spartans soundly defeated Los Altos 48-28 to earn their first league win. Mountain View will next play on Friday against Cupertino.
