TONIGHT: Trustees discuss school facilities

An architect will come to the Mountain View Whisman School District's board of trustees meeting tonight to talk about the condition of schools and buildings as trustees prepare to approve a 10-year master plan this June.

This year, the district experienced enrollment numbers not expected until 2011, and in June trustees may compensate for that by expanding current facilities or taking back leased land.

Also at the meeting, the board will also discuss funding priorities for the recently passed parcel tax, and students from Bubb Elementary School will be recognized for academic achievement. The meeting is 7 p.m. at the district office, 750-A San Pierre Way.

Do we need to spend money here? We have two schools being leased out, when can we get those back? The Whisman schools have been updated in the last ten years, not sure about the schools that were part of the MV district?
