Burglars nab jewelry, cash

 

About $2,000 in jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a Mountain View home on the 1000 block of Morton Court.

The burglary took place sometime between the morning of July 1, when the victim left for vacation, and the afternoon of July 5, when she returned home.

There is no description of the suspect or suspects, who gained entry through an open window and made off with the jewels and money.

If this person indeed went on vacation while leaving a window open, as the story indicates is the case, I find it difficult to sympathize with them at all. Close and lock your doors and windows when you go out...that's "Burglary 101".

Please get a security camera and install it irrespective of whether you live in an apt or a house. Its worth the investment and doesn't cost a fortune to install a security camera system.
