On Saturday, July 17, from 4 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 18, from noon to 8:30 p.m., the Mountain View Buddhist Temple hosts the 58th annual Mid-Summer Obon Festival & Bazaar. Theater: ‘Auctioning the Ainsleys’
After a preview show on Friday, July 16, TheatreWorks opens the new comedy “Auctioning the Ainsleys” on Saturday, July 17. Both 8 p.m. performances are at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Tickets are $19-$67.
Event: Connoisseurs’ Marketplace in Menlo Park
Arts and crafts booths, live music, food, kids’ activities and chef demonstrations make up the annual Connoisseurs’ Marketplace, which happens Saturday and Sunday, July 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is on Santa Cruz Avenue between El Camino Real and Johnson Street in downtown Menlo Park; admission is free.
