Mountain View police are no longer searching for a missing at-risk man.

Police said that Charles Ford, 64, who was reported missing by his wife Dec. 6, has been found at a medical clinic in Sanger, Calif. Ford is diabetic and did not have his medication with him when his wife reported that he did not return from the gym, police said. He was reportedly acting strangely and appeared confused shortly before he went missing, according to police spokeswoman Liz Wylie.

Ford walked into a medical clinic in Sanger and is being treated for diabetes-related issues, said police spokeswoman Jaime Garrett in a press release sent out at 5 p.m., about an hour after Mountain View police appealed to the public to help locate the missing man.

  1. Thank you MVPD for taking these cases seriously! An hour after you publicized the search, the man was found. I know from experience in southern California that some police departments do not look for missing adults, even when they have medical problems. I hope this man is OK.
