'Well-shaven' naked man asks for directions

No sexual advances made in indecent exposure case

A stark naked, "well-shaven" young man asked a woman in a Mountain View parking garage for directions on Aug. 8, police said.

According to Mountain View police spokeswoman Jaime Garrett, the 29-year-old victim was walking to her car in an underground garage located at 555 W. Middlefield Road at about 4:25 p.m. when the man approached her, in the buff, and asked her the way to Castro Street.

The woman then screamed, ran to her car, left the garage and called police, Garrett said. The police report described the man as "well-shaven" and about 20 years old with dark hair. "I have no idea what that means," Garrett said, referencing the description of the man's shaving habits.

"He made no sexual advances," Garrett said. "He was merely asking for directions, it appears. We have no leads on who it might have been."

Dude, wrong city. The Castro Street you're looking for is in San Francisco, not Mountain View.

She must have meant well-shaved pubic hair. Bondage situation that went too far?

Why is the woman being called a "victim"? As far as I can tell from the story she's the one that freaked out and took off. The dude was naked, thats it. Were her eyes assaulted or something?

@Matt: I think that if the guy is caught that he'll have to register as a sex offender. Indecent exposure.

How is exposing your self indecently to an adult considered a sex crime? Was this woman assaulted sexually? If I streak across a football stadium during a game have I just sexually assaulted everyone in the stands? Are they all victims of my nakedness?
