Caltrain: two broken-down trains cause delays

 

Caltrain is reporting delays of up to half an hour this morning because of two broken-down trains on the Peninsula.

Caltrain has terminated southbound train No. 314, which broke down just north of the San Mateo station, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

Separately, a northbound train broke down at the Millbrae station earlier this morning, Dunn said.

A third, northbound train has also been taken out of service.

Trains are single-tracking through certain areas, and there were systemwide delays as of 9 a.m.
