Police dog helps cops find heroin

The Mountain View Police Department's drug sniffing dog, Zeus, helped officers locate 11 grams of heroin Friday evening, Jan. 31.

According to a post on the MVPD's blog, the police arrested a 57-year-old Sunnyvale man in connection with the drug bust.

The police found and seized $4,880 in cash along with the heroin, which was wrapped in numerous individual plastic packets.

Zeus helped officers locate the narcotics by alerting officers to a bedroom dresser where the drugs were stashed, according to the blog post.

The man was booked into San Jose Main Jail.
