Mountain View police announced Thursday morning that four more people have been arrested in connection with the illicit parties and arson fire that ravaged a house on Fordham Way last month.
Four more juveniles were arrested as of March 31, said Sgt. Saul Jaeger of the Mountain View Police Department, making a total of 16 minors and two 18-year-olds who face a variety of charges from the incident, including burglary, vehicle theft, child endangerment, drug sales and providing marijuana to a minor. The names of the juveniles are not being released by police.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to police, a series of drug- and alcohol-fueled illicit parties at a house in the 1700 block of Fordham Way went awry, leaving the home seriously damaged when a March 16 fire started by three juveniles burned out of control. The home’s residents were away on vacation at the time.
The house was also burglarized and an Audi A4 stolen, said Jaeger. The car was later recovered in San Francisco.
Most of the teens involved are students at Mountain View High School, with a few from Alta Vista High School and Foothill College, he said.
A juvenile knew the family was gone, broke in and had a party the weekend of March 7, Jaeger said, with more parties to follow.
Police are asking for the public’s help in gathering information about the party. Anyone with a tip may call 650-903-6395. Anonymous tips may also be sent via text to 274637 — include ‘mvtips’ in the body of the message.
These reports keep mentioning Foothill College students, but never naming them. Is this because they have not yet been arrested? Or were they arrested, but underage? The only 2 men that have been named are high school students.
Can’t wait to here the outcome for the Adults, Pak and Gomes. I hope they spend time in San Quentin. They will be very popular in prison…..Such big guy’s until they get in trouble then it’s they were just kids, Bla, Bla, Bla……I also heard that this was one of the adults 2nd showing with the cops. Is that true?

It is likely that the District Attorney will not file charges against every single party attendee, but will concentrate their legal efforts against the ones who committed more serious crimes based on the variety of charges listed above (“burglary, vehicle theft, child endangerment, drug sales and providing marijuana to a minor”).
The Foothill College students probably were adults at the time of the incident (March 16). Because of that, it is likely that those particular students have not been charged.
Note that they aren’t even arresting the underage drinkers. Likely, the police will have a one-on-one discussion with the parents of each and every attendee.
It is clear that the investigation has not yet concluded, so there is still the possibility that some of the Foothill College students (or other adults) could be charged in the future. That said, based on the number of juvenile arrestees, it appears that the majority of the more serious mayhem was caused by underage attendees, not the adults.

You seem to be implying that these 18 year old legal adults deserve to be raped in prison. That’s really sick.
FYI- the charges against Brandon Pak have not stuck. He is back at school and resuming classes to graduate with his senior class.

Pak is *CHARGED* with a crime, he has not been convicted yet. You apparently need a refresher: people are innocent until proven guilty here in the USA.
Note that court system does not instantaneously charge, try, and convict people in weeks, even if it’s a traffic ticket. The judicial system takes months, judges’ dockets are full, et cetera ad nauseam.
Pak is out free because presumably he made bail or he was released on his own recognizance. Just because he is walking the frees does not mean that the “charges haven’t stuck” (sic).
I’m sure he, Gomes, and the 18 charged juveniles have *plenty* of court dates in their future.
Oops “walking the frees” is supposed to be “walking the streets free”.
Do you want to know how the story ends? Guess what? You need to wait for maybe a *YEAR* before all these cases are closed.
Note that the investigation isn’t over. Additional charges may be filed by the D.A. against any or all of the 16 minors and 2 adults already charged. New charges may be filed against new people (just like the four juveniles announced today).
Cops don’t walk into a crime scene, arrest a bunch of people, hand the case over to the D.A.’s office and set up court dates in two weeks. Not for something like this. This takes *MONTHS AND MONTHS*. I’m not saying that’s ideal, but that’s the way it is; the world is not like those cop shows on T.V.
If you don’t like how slow it’s progressing, feel free to personally overhaul the justice system. Good luck with that.
fireman, you almost sound excited at the prospect of someone being raped in prison. Which particular crimes do you feel also warrant this? Or do I have it wrong; is it a punishment or an opportunity in your mind?
